Text Box: FAQ’S How far in advance should I order my party cake? We request a one week notice for party cakes. However, since we do not freeze our cakes, we recommend ordering as soon as possible. Premium dates fill up fast! Do you freeze your cakes? No, we custom bake every cake. I have heard that fondant tastes bad. Is that true? Inexpensive fondant does not taste good. The white chocolate fondant we use is made for us in New York and shipped directly to The Icing. Can I order a cake in the shape of my child’s favorite character? For licensing reasons we cannot create cakes in the shape of characters. However, we do offer a complete line of licensed products an can still create a coordinating cake for your event. Do you require a deposit? Yes, 50% is required at the time of order, the balance is due one week prior to your event. Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we accept MasterCard & Visa. Do you offer nut-free, gluten-free, egg free or sugar free cakes? No, unfortunately this is not a service we can provide. Nor can we decorate a cake brought to us.
